Gibson ES-335TD Bigsby Cherry 1964

1964 Gibson ES-335TD Bigsby Cherry, in very good vintage condition. What a stunning guitar! 1964 is a very desirable year for ES-335's, with Clapton famously using one on many of his most famous recordings and this one is a real peach. Factory fitted Bigsby, complete with Custom Made plate. Previously owned by a UK session player who toured with The Kinks, who had it for some thirty or so years.

This guitar has been gigged and has had a life, but has not suffered any breaks or structural repairs/issues. Dating to very early 1964, the original pots date to the 44th week of 1963, with the serial number placing it to early '64 - a nice crossover model. Fitted with original PAT No. pickups, which sound fantastic - the neck pickup has had a professional rewind. All of the hardware is original - the single line, double ring Kluson tuners that have been re-tipped. Underneath the Custom Made plate are factory stop tail anchors, so if you'd prefer to play this gem as a stop tail with a snake bite that's no problem at all.

Truly a fantastic guitar, oozes mojo and sounds out of this world. Includes a later 1970's Gibson hardcase.
