Gretsch 6131 Jet Firebird 1963

1963 Gretsch 6131 Jet Firebird, a total Malcolm machine! These are super thin on the ground, so this is a real pleasure to have in. The original Filtertrons sound incredible, these Firebirds have a really unique sound with lots of bite. This one has had the typical binding issues, which have had professional overspray to keep save it for the future and keep it stable. A few small touch up spots on the back of the body from where the finish had worn, the top is vibrant as the day it left the factory with some beautiful subtle checking. The original Burns Vibrato system is very responsive. A total monster of a player, it's just had a full fret level and crown to boot! Includes a period original case, which has been well travelled.
